About Gowan Falls Ranch Animal Rescue
How It All Started
It all started when I was little , I have always had a love for animals . I was living in the big city of Corpus Christi for 12 years of my life , before I moved up to the small town of Comfort , Tx.We had just signed off on our new house we built onto a beautiful property of 305 acres when covid hit . After being quarantined up here for a year and a half we decided to move early. During the first few months of quarantine I had been telling my parents that I wanted to start a rescue for sick , injured , and abandoned animals. So I started clearning paths behind my barn and started of very small with just 2 little pens of fences I pulled and tied together. Our first rescue was a juvenile whitetail doe , who was blind and had neurological issues . Followed by a feral cat named Athena , who was abandoned by her mom. Our ranch is now home to many different species of animals including Whitetail, Fallow,Axis,Sabel,Blackbuck,Gemsbox, Oryx,Kudo, and Wildbeast. As well as Goats,Guines,Ducks,Pigs,Quail,Turkey, and Peacocks . Now we are still going strong getting many new rescues , and helping rehabilate them to release them back to the wild .
